Obituary for Thomas Floyd Comeau

Thomas Comeau, age 86 of Fennville, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Providence Health Care.

Tom was a member of Ganges United Methodist Church. He was a meat cutter at VanHartesveldts Market in Fennville for many years. After his retirement, Tom and his wife Barbara wintered in Florida. Twenty-one days after he passed, he was joined by his wife, Barbara on January 1, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Lynn in 1974, brother, George Edward Comeau, and half-sister, Jean Slocum.

He is survived by his children: Connie and Michael Kemnic of Zeeland, Randi and Ed Raak of Holland, Kim and Robert Leslie of Allegan; 8 Grandchildren; 12 Great-Grandchildren; Half-brother: Raymond Comeau of WI; and many extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2:30pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James Street, in Holland. Granddaughter Rev. Devon Herrell will officiate. Burial will be in Fennville Cemetery.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 6, 2015, from 1:30-2:30pm at Lakeshore Memorial Services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure or to the National Reye’s Syndrome Foundation.
